Now that we've been in our house for about three months we've pretty much gotten our basic "need-to" furnishings list checked off. One of the last things we had left to do was find some kind of shade/curtain for our side door with the main problem being finding something that was the right size. After a fair bit of searching I was so excited to find a roman shade online in a natural color for a decent sales price that would be the perfect size. It took a couple of days to arrive and once it did I saw that I might actually need Claude's help to get it up since he had to "install" it to the door so I had to wait until he had a spare couple of hours. Imagine the disappointment when the brackets and some of the hardware were missing, thus a call to customer service. So another week later our replacement hardware arrived and Claude went to work installing the shade. It ended up being a fairly time-consuming process considering his spare time is fairly limited these days, but alas we finally had a shade for the side door. I was definitely pleased until...

we let the shade down and I saw that my measurements were somehow way off! I'm usually fairly meticulous and repetitive about these kinds of details but apparently not this time, huh? After all that hard work though it will stay up until something better comes along. So in case you happen to visit us before that happens this just might be what you see...

In the meantime if any expert curtain designers happen to come across this and have an urge to help us out by fixing us a not-too-short, not-too-long curtain that's more along the lines of a pole pocket "installation" I'll be happy to send you the accurate measurements!
Haha! What happened to all that analytical chemistry, Rach? I mean, I do seem to remember that you were lab instructor along with me. hmmm! ;-)
