the 2 year mark

Today is our second wedding anniversary, and even though in some ways (I think largely due to the big move and completely new city, new people, new jobs, etc. in the midst of year one) it's hard to believe that it was only two years ago the time has also flown by in lots of ways. In searching through pictures I have of us over the past year specifically I realized that 1) I've in general not taken as many pictures this year as previous years in my life and 2) we must not ever have our camera with us when we're around other people to have them take a picture for us of the two of us together! While I do have a couple of us I decided to pull these from an email Thomas had taken and sent me after a trip he made to see us this past winter...I think they're a fair representation of the time we've had in marriage so far. Granted, marriage - like most everything else in life - isn't always easy but it is definitely one of the best gifts God has ever granted me. Even when - and especially when - He works through Claude to help refine those things in me which are not pleasing to Him (and I know it though it's hard to accept at the time) and to encourage those things in me which are glorifying. And as an added bonus, in the midst of all of those moments we do have a lot of fun together and spend a lot of time on our better days laughing with one another:) That being said I'll close out with a "for real" picture in front of our GA home!
