A couple of weeks ago I was invited over to celebrate the Chinese New Year with some friends from work - thus the title of this post is how I would spell what "Happy New Year" in Chinese sounds like to me. That of course might be more than a little off:) It actually brought back memories of my first Chinese New Year celebration experience a couple of years ago when we were back in Jackson. Not surprisingly, as you might can tell from the pictures below, it's celebrated a lot like our "American" holidays in that you spend the time with family, friends, and food!
